Mumbai Biker Riddhi Thakkar Dies in Chhattisgarh Hit-and-Run Crash Near Markatola Ghat
Mumbai biker Riddhi Thakkar, 24, died after a hit-and-run near Markatola Ghat on NH-30 in Dhamtari while riding toward Bastar with fellow women bikers. Police are scanning CCTV to trace the fleeing driver.
Thakkar, from Mumbai’s Kandivali or Borivali West, was riding her Bajaj Avenger toward Bastar with about 20 fellow women bikers when the crash occurred around 5-6 a.m. near Markatola Ghat.
She sustained serious injuries in the crash and was initially rushed to a health center in Charama. She was later shifted to a hospital in Dhamtari, where she died. Her body subsequently underwent post-mortem.

Police have filed a case in connection with the incident and questioned members of the biking group. Investigators are also scanning CCTV footage to track the driver who fled the scene after the crash.
Thakkar was known on Instagram as gearglimpse54 and was remembered as an adventure-loving rider. Tributes have since poured in following her death.
The investigation continues as police work to identify and trace the fleeing driver involved in the fatal hit-and-run near Markatola Ghat.
